i realise that every time i post i'm pretty much talking to myself O_O which means i must like talking to myself a lot, except i don't actually practice it in real life. but i'm very sure i could get carried away with it if i tried.

anyway i would like to express my personal opinion on something that shika fiona teo said today!

"WHY ARE YOU READING A SELF-HELP BOOK only losers read self-help books."

i think i took it as a passing comment at first, but then i thought about it earlier on the car and i have a FIRM STAND ON THIS NO IT IS NOT TRUE.

well firstly if people have this misconception then i shall tell them YOU ARE DEPRIVING YOURSELF OF THE CHANCE TO improve yourself. i think self-help books offer a lot of v. interesting perspectives on the way life and humans work! even if you don't find you need help you're going to find the information in there kind-of-interesting especially if you apply it to human relations etc. (which i am ahem not v good at ._.) also because the statements made in there are really debatable (except in my book i can't seem to find anything to contradict such aforementioned statements because lots of it's all scientifically proven .__.) which stimulates us to BETTER THINK. and reading about 20 pages has got me thinking for the whole day. also because those 20 pages happen to be on happiness ok whatever.

anyway i shall not bother explaining further because i want to get back to my book. but self-help books are pretty interesting to analyse (: picking up books all over again after eoys has reminded me of how fortunate we are to have books, really. thank you all those writers out there (:

THANK YOU YANLI FOR YOUR AWESOME THE LOST SYMBOL <3 i shall read it while i read my current book ._. i just have a weird habit of reading multiple books all at once ._.

I FINISHED MY ROALD DAHL BOOK Y'ALL SHOULD GO READ HIS COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED TALES IS VGOOD I LOVE IT. except they're weird but ohwell if you like weird books/stories like me then y'all should try it out!

but not his more tales of the unexpected because idk he kind of ran out of ideas i think ._. the twists not as good as the first book.

one day i am going to sit down at the library and relive my childhood days by reading enid blyton and all the kiddy books and i don't care if people stare at me. :D!
